Camp Perry Warm-Up Match

John C. Garand Invitational Rifle Match (As-Issued Military Rifle Match)

 

Who? Open to all knowledgeable and experienced high power rifle competitors

When? Saturday, July 10th, 2021 @ 0730 to ~1200

What? The John C. Garand, Springfield and Vintage bolt match

Cost? Fee: $20 adult, $10 junior.

Where? RCLRC Range 7. Sign-up at the 200 yard line from 0730 to 0830, firing at 0900. https://www.racinecountylinerifleclub.com/

 

Targets: All firing from 200 yards on the (decimal) SR target.

A release of liability and eligibility to possess firearms form must be signed by all.

 

Equipment: “as-issued” M-1 Garand and eligible Military rifles. Match rifles are allowed, but will compete “out of competition” (no award). Ground mats, spotting scopes etc. are

allowed. Web or leather service rifle slings allowed. Use of the sling is not allowed in stage 4 (off-hand), but sling must be attached (parade style) to the rifle.

 

Course of fire: the CMP John C. Garand “B” course of fire. Five sighting shots followed by 50 record shots. No re-fires or alibi’s given. (see Rule Book)

 

Stage 1: five sighting shots slow fire from any position followed by twenty/ten slow fire record shots from the prone position in a time limit of twenty-five/fifteen minutes.

Stage 2: one string of rapid fire prone from standing, with mandatory (2&8 or 5&5) reload, time limit of 80 seconds.

Stage 3: one string of rapid fire sitting or kneeling from standing, with mandatory (2&8 or 5&5) reload, time limit of 70 seconds.

Stage 4: ten shots for record offhand/standing in a time limit of ten minutes.

All stages of fire will be completed once the competitor is on the firing line.

 

Awards: The Gold, Silver and Bronze pins will be awarded to those competitors

achieving “cut scores” as established by CMP rules.

General information: Competitors will perform scoring, pit, firing and other duties as assigned.

Invitational Match CMP Vintage Sniper Team Match

(Any Center-Fire Rifle Welcome)

 

Date: Saturday, July 10th 2021 Firing will commence at 1pm at the 300 yd line.

 

Fee: $20/Shooter

 

Entry: No advanced entry required. Entry is open to all established high power rifle competitors. Register at the 200 yard line between 11:30 and 12:30 (immediately following the morning GSM match – Semper Gumby! Gates will open 11:30-12:30.

Equipment: Only CMP Vintage Sniper Rifles are allowed for the CMP category.

A front bag without channel is allowed – BRING YOUR OWN. The 1907 leather sling, the M-1 web or “as-issue” sling is allowed. Other CMP/NRA High Power equipment such as mats, scopes, etc. allowed.

NOTE: All other rifles will be firing “out-of competition” – ineligible for CMP awards.

                                                               

Course of Fire: There will be a 3 minute preparation period and a 5 minute sighting period with unlimited sighting shots from each distance. Each (2) team member team will fire 10 rounds at 300 yards and 10 rounds at 600 yards for record. There will be a 2 minute change-over time between team members at each distance.

 

General Info: Competitors will shoot, score and perform pit and other duties as assigned. Eye and hearing protection is mandatory for all competitors during firing. A brimmed hat, eye and hearing protection is also required in the pits, during firing. Use of empty chamber indicator (ECI) is required.
